What brought you to Affinity?

My journey to Affinity started with a hardship that turned into a blessing. I have been in the recruiting and HR space for the last 10+ years and was a part of two mass layoffs in the past three years. This last time it was with Meta, and I was crushed. I knew I wanted to reinvent my career and work for a smaller organization that had a lot of potential for growth. I was connected with Liz and after chatting it became clear that I could be useful to the Affinity team. It’s exciting to work for a company that feels close knit, where I can use my skills to make a big impact and learn about a new business.

How did you get your start in medical association management?

While I worked at the American Cancer Society for about two years, I’ve spent most of my recent career in tech. However, I’m really excited to learn the industry and help the team help our clients.

What are you most excited about in the year ahead with Affinity Strategies?

I’m really passionate about people and even in my short time here, it’s become evident that Affinity has an amazing team that’s really dedicated to excellence. I’m excited to get to know the team and empower others to grow professionally. I have a lot of knowledge to share and know that the team will teach me a ton.

What inspires you to deliver your best?

Knowing that I can help others is a big driver for me and I love when I can use my creativity for innovative problem solving.

What three words would friends use to describe you?
